“Closer than a Brother,” is a 25 page devotional with two appendixes. A correct understanding of the humanity of Christ, as revealed to us in the inspired word is vital to the declaration of the Third Angel’s Message, which of necessity is founded on the “Everlasting Gospel.” (See Rev. 14:6; Romans 1:1-3)
Praise God, Christ has come as a personal Saviour who is, “nigh at hand.” “The humanity of the Son of God is everything to” me. This “is the golden Chain that binds” my soul “to Christ, and through Christ to God.” The true followers of Christ will make the study of Immanuel’s Condescension their Constant study and Meditation.
The contrite Sinners only hope in the battle against self is to be found in Christ’s humiliation, it is to be found in our Saviour being near at hand to help in times of need. “He took upon His sinless nature our sinful nature, that He might know how to succor those that are tempted.” (Lt. 67, 1902).
