God's Character

“ The great controversy between good and evil will increase in intensity to the very close of time . In all ages the wrath of Satan has been manifested against the church of Christ; and God has bestowed His grace and Spirit upon His people to strengthen them to stand against the power of the evil one.” GC X The charges made by Lucifer in heaven against Christ, against The Government of God and against God’s Character are to be soon silenced and refuted by a final display of the Love of God as revealed in the lives of His children. God’s Glory (Character) will be fully reproduced in the lives of His Children. “And all the depths of satanic skill and subtlety acquired, all the cruelty developed, during these struggles of the ages, will be brought to bear against God's people in the final conflict. And in this time of peril the followers of Christ are to bear to the world the warning of the Lord's Second Advent; and a people are to be prepared to stand before Him at His coming, " without spot, and blameless ."” 2 Peter 3:14. GC X “To the angels and the unfallen worlds the cry, "It is finished," had a deep significance. It was for them as well as for us that the great work of redemption had been accomplished. They with us share the fruits of Christ's victory.” “Not until the death of Christ was the character of Satan clearly revealed to the angels or to the unfallen worlds. The archapostate had so clothed himself with deception that even holy beings had not understood his principles. They had not clearly seen the nature of his rebellion.” DA 758 Satan’s attempt made in heaven to overthrow The Principals of God’s law, (this law being the foundation of His government) by force and deception, have been continued on earth. This satanic rebellion is to be turned back by the power of unselfish love; this all for the other love will be revealed as a living testimony to all creation in the lives of God’s final remnant just before the Second Advent of Christ . (See Revelation 14:1-5) " Rebellion was not to be overcome by force . Compelling power is found only under Satan's government. The Lord's principles are not of this order . His authority rests upon goodness, mercy, and love ; and the presentation of these principles is the means to be used .” “Satan led men into sin, and the plan of redemption was put in operation. For four thousand years, Christ was working for man's uplifting, and Satan for his ruin and degradation. And the heavenly universe beheld it all.” DA 759 The benevolence of God’s Character was more fully revealed to the angelic host, to all the unfallen worlds, as well as to man by the life and sacrificial death of Jesus Christ. At the Cross of Calvary, “the man Christ Jesus” lifted the veil of deception and darkness which had been hanging over all of God’s creation. “Satan saw that his disguise was torn away. His administration was laid open before the unfallen angels and before the heavenly universe. He had revealed himself as a murderer. By shedding the blood of the Son of God, he had uprooted himself from the sympathies of the heavenly beings.” DA 761 Man has lost sight of the Goodness of God and The Eternal Principals of His Government. An additional demonstration of the true Character of God’s Government in contrast to Satan’s Government is necessary to fully expose the “Man of Sin”. A Final display of the Glory (Character) of God in the lives of fallen finite men will be the capstone that will expel sin from the creation of God forever, vindication God’s name through out the universe. “It is the darkness of misapprehension of God that is enshrouding the world. Men are losing their knowledge of His character. It has been misunderstood and misinterpreted.” “At this time a message from God is to be proclaimed, a message illuminating in its influence and saving in its power. His character is to be made known. Into the darkness of the world is to be shed the light of His glory, the light of His goodness, mercy, and truth.” “Those who wait for the Bridegroom's coming are to say to the people, "Behold your God." The last rays of merciful light, the last message of mercy to be given to the world, is a revelation of His character of love. The children of God are to manifest His glory. In their own life and character they are to reveal what the grace of God has done for them.” “The light of the Sun of Righteousness is to shine forth in good works--in words of truth and deeds of holiness…. Christ has made every provision that His church shall be a transformed body, illumined with the Light of the world, possessing the glory of Emmanuel. It is His purpose that every Christian shall be surrounded with a spiritual atmosphere of light and peace. He desires that we shall reveal His own joy in our lives. COL 415, 416, 419 May the light and glory shining in the face of Jesus Christ shine on His church in these last days.
